Dance Faculty: Ballet/Jazz/Tap/Acro/Choreographer

Jayla Paredes (Plainfield, NJ) has been dancing and training for over twelve years. Jayla trains in Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Acro, Pointe, Jazz, and Hip Hop. For the past seven years, she has had the privilege of being a part of three different dance competition teams in the Central Jersey area. In 2019, she won the Highest Overall Score Award at Backstage Competition.

She has trained and performed works from Freddie Moore, Fredrick Earl Mosley, Daniel Padierna, Francisco Gella, Gianna Diaz, Tevin Johnson, Tashae Udo, Luke Romanzi, Colleen Duddy and Harrison Knostman. She has also been a trainee of both Zeitgeist Dance Theater (New Mexico) and EMIA (New York) Summer Dance Program to which she received a full scholarship awarded by Carolyn Dorfman.

While she strives for excellence, she is also learning the importance of enjoying the journey. Jayla believes that in order to reach your highest potential in the dance world, you must be consistently surrounded and trained by teachers that instill character, challenge, and true talent. As such, she is extremely joyful to share her knowledge of the art with rising, young dancers with genuine love and devotion.
